Key Interiors

A graduate of the New York School of Interior Design, our designer Karin Verzariu gained valuable experience working for a successful interiors company in London before setting up her own business over 20 years ago. She is now a Director and Member of the British Interior Design Association and her work has been featured in a number of interior design magazines.

Current London projects are a grade 1 listed Nash house in Regent’s Park, a maisonette in Little Venice, and the entrance reception of a Knightsbridge mansion building.

Recent work has included the Art Deco style interiors for a penthouse off the Strand, contemporary designs for a large Edwardian family house in Cambridge, a loft apartment in London's Little Venice, and various flats and penthouses in West London. Refurbishments in a traditional style have been carried out to a Grade-2 listed Robert Adam building for a medical body (opened in 2003 by the Duke of York, to great acclaim), and an 18th century central London house. Karin also designed a room for the show apartment at a House and Garden Fair.

Karin has worked for clients in the United States and Germany, often arranging for soft furnishings and furniture from the UK to be shipped and installed abroad, as well as advising on the purchase of antiques and works of art and their decorative use in the home. Her fluency in French and German eases communication with clients from abroad.

She oversees the careful execution of her designs with the assistance of a team of specialists and expert tradesmen, and collaborates with cabinet-making workshops to produce her bespoke fitted and free-standing furniture designs. Karin is as enthusiastic working on small projects as on large ones, from soft furnishings and colour schemes to complete turnkey projects. She works as a consultant when required, and welcomes enquiries from architects, managing agents, developers and surveyors to assist them with all aspects of interior design.

Her friendly and accessible approach to clients and the imaginative interpretation of their wishes are matched by her attention to detail and her commitment to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
