Karin Verzariu is the Design Director of Key Interiors. Her experience encompasses all aspects of design, from homes to corporate headquarters. Her friendly and accessible approach to clients, imaginative interpretation of their wishes and attention to every detail ensures their complete satisfaction.
Our work has been featured in numerous interior design magazines. A Member of the British Interior Design Association for over 25 years, and until recently a Director of the BIDA (now BIID), Karin is currently Company Secretary.
Karin has recently launched Black & Key, showcasing her elegant collection of luxurious furniture and accessories. All pieces are meticulously handmade in England in beautiful veneers with perfectly polished nickel and inlaid mother of pearl detailing. The collection can be customised to suit.
Current residential projects include a house in Regent’s Park, originally by John Nash, Arts and Crafts houses in East Sussex (by Norman Shaw) and London, and a terraced house in Belgravia.
The company recently completed a luxurious Art Deco inspired London penthouse, incorporating the latest hi-tech and “Smart House” controls, which won the 2009 Lighting Design Award for domestic projects. For a large apartment in Geneva and a 1820s listed villa near Montreux, soft furnishings and bespoke furniture were shipped from the UK and installed abroad. Karin’s fluency in French and German facilitates communication with overseas clients.
Our portfolio also includes contemporary commercial projects, including a Knightsbridge mansion block and the development of new-build apartments in West London. For a medical association we carried out a major refurbishment in keeping with the period style of its headquarters, a Robert Adam listed house in Regent’s Street.
Key Interiors oversees the execution of projects by specialists and highly skilled cabinet-makers, who also produce our bespoke furniture designs. We work on small projects as well as large ones and offer a full design, tender and project management package. Karin advises on the purchase of antiques and works of art and their decorative use in homes and commercial properties. Our experience encompasses many Grade 1 and 2 listed houses.
Key Interiors welcomes enquiries from architects, managing agents, developers and surveyors and assists them with all aspects of interior design.
